The operator of these pages – Olymp Werk GmbH – takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (for example name, address or email address) is collected on our pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. A complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.
Data Processing When Visiting Our Website
Olymp automatically collects and stores information in its server log files that your browser or the app transmits to us. These are:
- operating system used
- referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
- time of the server request
These data cannot be assigned to specific individuals by Olymp. A consolidation of this data with other data sources is not carried out. The data is used solely for internal statistical evaluations.
Privacy Policy for the Use of Google Analytics
This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Cookies and Use of Analytics Tools
To manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and the related consents, we use the consent tool “Real Cookie Banner”. Details about how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at: https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/.
The legal bases for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the administration of the cookies and similar technologies used and the associated consents.
The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.
Change privacy settingsBelow you will find a summary of the categories of cookies (services) used on our websites and how your consent may affect the use of our website:
Essential services are required for the basic functionality of the website. They only include technically necessary services. These services cannot be rejected.
Functional services are necessary to provide features that go beyond the basic functionality of the website, such as improved fonts, contact forms, interactive maps (e.g. Google Maps), video playback or interactive Web 2.0 features. Content from, for example, video and social media platforms is blocked by default and can be activated by giving consent. If you consent to a service, such content will be loaded automatically without any further manual consent.
Statistics services are needed to collect pseudonymized data about visitors to the website. These data enable us to better understand our visitors and optimize the website. In our case, this concerns the implementation of Google Analytics on the site.
Marketing services are used by us and third parties to record the behavior of individual users, analyze the collected data and, for example, display personalized advertising. These services enable us to track users across multiple websites.

They prevent someone from faking a link and having it activated by an authenticated user. Anti-forgery cookies are removed when the user closes the web browser.

Transfer of data to partner companies for the purpose of preparing offers
In order to provide you with an individual and comprehensive offer, we work together with selected partner companies. In this context, it may be necessary to forward your data (e.g. name, contact details, enquiry details) to these partners. The transfer is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) or on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Our partner companies are contractually obliged to use your data solely for processing your enquiry and to protect them in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Any further use or disclosure of your data does not take place.
Objection to Promotional Emails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the framework of the legal imprint obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example via spam emails.
Newsletter Data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use these data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass them on to third parties.
You may revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.
Use of Google Maps
We use the component “Google Maps” of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) on our website.
Each time the “Google Maps” component is called, Google sets a cookie in order to process user settings and data when the page on which the “Google Maps” component is integrated is displayed. This cookie is generally not deleted when the browser is closed, but expires after a certain period of time unless it is manually deleted by you beforehand.
If you do not agree with this processing of your data, you have the option to deactivate the “Google Maps” service and thus prevent the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use “Google Maps” or only to a limited extent.
The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained via “Google Maps” is subject to the Google Terms of Service
https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de&gl=de
and the additional terms of service for “Google Maps”
https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.
Use of reCAPTCHA
To protect input forms on our site, we use the “reCAPTCHA” service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). By using this service, it can be distinguished whether the corresponding input is of human origin or is made improperly through automated machine processing.
To our knowledge, the following data are transmitted to Google: referrer URL, IP address, behavior of the website visitor, information about operating system, browser and length of stay, cookies, display instructions and scripts, input behavior of the user as well as mouse movements in the area of the “reCAPTCHA” checkbox.
Google uses the information obtained in this way, among other things, to digitize books and other print materials, as well as to optimize services such as Google Street View and Google Maps (e.g. house number and street name recognition).
The IP address transmitted within the scope of “reCAPTCHA” will not be merged with other data from Google unless you are logged in to your Google account at the time of using the “reCAPTCHA” plugin. If you want to prevent this transmission and storage of data about you and your behavior on our website by Google, you must log out of Google before visiting our site or using the reCAPTCHA plugin.
The use of the “reCAPTCHA” service and the information obtained thereby is subject to the Google Privacy Policy:
https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
Use of Google AdWords
We also use the Google advertising tool “Google AdWords” to promote our website. In this context, we use the “Conversion Tracking” analytics service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) on our website. If you reach our website via a Google ad, a cookie is placed on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called “conversion cookies” lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and have been redirected to our site.
The information collected with the help of “conversion cookies” is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who clicked on our ad and which pages of our website were accessed by the respective user afterwards. We or other advertisers using “Google AdWords” do not receive any information that could be used to personally identify users.
You can prevent the installation of “conversion cookies” by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, for example by a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or specifically blocks only cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com”.

If your job application is rejected, the data you have submitted will be automatically deleted two months after the notification of rejection. This does not apply if a longer storage period is necessary due to legal requirements (for example the burden of proof under the General Equal Treatment Act) or if you have expressly consented to a longer storage in our pool of applicants.

Use of Social Plugins in the Context of Social Media
Facebook: We use social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., Palo Alto, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Facebook”, “Like” or “Share”. When you access a page of our website that contains such plugins, these are initially deactivated. Only when you click the provided button are the plugins activated. By activating them, you establish a connection to Facebook and give your consent to the transmission of data to Facebook. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to your account. If you press the respective button, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights and settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy notices. If you do not want Facebook to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our site.
Facebook Pixel: We use the Facebook Pixel on our website. For this purpose, we have implemented a code on our website. The Facebook Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that loads a set of functions which allow Facebook to track your user actions, provided you came to our website via Facebook ads. For example, if you purchase a product on our website, the Facebook Pixel is triggered and stores your actions on our website in one or more cookies. These cookies enable Facebook to match your user data (such as IP address, user ID) with the data of your Facebook account. Facebook then deletes these data again. The data collected are anonymous to us and not visible to us and are only used in the context of placing advertisements. If you are a Facebook user and logged in, your visit to our website is automatically assigned to your Facebook user account. We want to show our services and products only to people who are genuinely interested in them. With the help of the Facebook Pixel, our advertising campaigns can be better tailored to your wishes and interests. Facebook users (if they have allowed personalized advertising) will see suitable ads. Furthermore, Facebook uses the collected data for analysis purposes and its own advertisements.
Instagram: We have integrated functions of Instagram on our website. Instagram is a social media platform operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. Since 2012, Instagram has been part of Facebook Inc. and belongs to the Facebook products. The embedding of Instagram content on our website is called “embedding”. This allows us to display content such as buttons, photos or videos from Instagram directly on our website. When you visit pages of our website that have an integrated Instagram function, data are transmitted to Instagram, stored and processed there. Instagram uses the same systems and technologies as Facebook. Your data are therefore processed across all Facebook companies.
YouTube: We use the video platform YouTube, which is operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is a platform that enables the playback of audio and video files. When you visit a page of our website, the embedded YouTube player connects to YouTube to ensure the technical transmission of the video or audio file. When the connection to YouTube is established, data are transmitted to YouTube. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of the data by YouTube as well as your rights and settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to YouTube’s privacy notices.
Use of WPML (Multilingual Plugin)
WPML uses cookies to identify the current language of the visitor, the last visited language and the language of users who are logged in. While you are using the plugin, WPML will share data related to the site via the installer. No data of the user themselves are shared.
Use of Akismet (Anti-Spam Plugin)
We collect information about visitors who leave comments on websites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The scope of information we collect depends on how the user has set up their website. Typically, these data include the IP address, user agent, referrer and website URL (as well as the information the user directly provided such as name, username, email address and the comment itself).
Use of AKM- and GEMA-Free Music
In our systems (in particular in our telephone on-hold systems), we use AKM- and GEMA-free music from www.frametraxx.de.
